Artwork Description

A solitary tree stands against the weight of a darkening sky, its pale trunk catching the last breath of light before night settles in. The storm has not quite passed, nor has it fully arrived. It hangs there, suspended. The land is quiet, burnished in warm earth tones, while a narrow path curves forward through the grasses, leading the eye gently into distance and stillness.

In this work I was drawn to the tension between heaviness and illumination. The sky holds deep indigo and charcoal blues, layered to create that charged, almost electric atmosphere just before dusk closes in. Against it, the tree carries light in its branches, a quiet resilience, almost luminous against the dark.

The winding path is deliberate. It softens the drama above and offers a sense of invitation. A reminder that even under gathering weather, there is direction, movement, and calm within the landscape.

The Light of Dusk is about that threshold moment. The pause between storm and night. The held breath of the land as the last light settles and the world shifts into quiet.

Every original artwork by Lucinda comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. This assures buyers that their piece is a genuine creation, adding lasting value and guaranteeing its uniqueness.

She has been recognised as one of Bluethumb’s Top 50 artists, placing her among the top-selling artists on the platform.
