Artwork Description

Scent of Eucalyptus captures the quiet presence of tall gum trees emerging through layered greens and soft blues, their pale trunks glowing gently against a deepened sky. The work is less about a specific place and more about the feeling of standing among trees just before weather shifts — when the air feels heavy with scent and everything slows.

The contrast between the luminous trees and the darker sky creates a sense of calm resilience and quiet strength. There is a pause in this painting, a moment where light holds its ground and the landscape feels attentive and alive.

Painted with a restrained palette and softened edges, this work brings a sense of stillness and atmosphere into a space rather than demanding attention. It works beautifully in calm interiors where subtle colour and mood are appreciated over bold statement pieces.

This is an original painting and comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity. It will be carefully and professionally packaged to ensure it arrives safely and ready to hang.

Artist Bio

Lucinda Leveille is an Australian landscape artist based in Queensland, known for atmospheric oil paintings that explore weather, stillness, distance and the emotional presence of place.

Working primarily in oils, Lucinda creates original landscape paintings shaped by memory, light and the quiet tension of changing skies. Her work often features clouds, trees, open land, distant roads and weather-filled horizons, sitting somewhere between realism and abstraction.

A graduate of the National Art School in Sydney, Lucinda has painted for many years and has exhibited widely, with work held in private collections across Australia and overseas. She has been recognised as one of Bluethumb’s Top 50 artists, placing her among the top-selling artists on the platform.

Her paintings are created as one-of-a-kind originals, with no prints or reproductions. Each work is developed slowly through layers of oil paint, colour, atmosphere and feeling, offering collectors a quiet place to arrive within the landscape.
