Artwork Description

The Winding Path is a small oil painting capturing a vibrant landscape within a square format. The foreground features a winding path that snakes gracefully through a scene painted in rich, warm reds and coral tones. Flanking the path are striking red trees with textured leaves that seem to shimmer in the sunlight. Their vivid colors contrast beautifully against the lush grasses that sway gently over the undulating hills.

Above the horizon, the sky is a stunning blend of teal, shifting from deep turquoise to softer shades as it meets the horizon. The interplay of colours creates a sense of depth and atmosphere, suggesting either dawn or dusk. Whispy clouds adding drama to the sky.

The gentle undulations of the hills in the background are painted in deep reds, harmonizing with the reds of the foreground. Overall, the painting evokes a sense of tranquility and warmth, inviting the viewer to imagine taking a stroll along the inviting path amidst this picturesque landscape.

Lucinda Leveille is an Australian landscape artist based in Queensland, known for atmospheric oil paintings that explore weather, stillness, distance and the emotional presence of place.
