Artwork Description

One of the wonders of nature is the incredibly simple beauty of the Magnolia. The length one will go to stand underneath a magnificent tree and absorb the scent, the magnitude of buds and flowers in every stage and the hundreds of stamens that make up every center. This was taken while at the Botanical Gardens in Dunedin. The evening light was ideal to capture the majestic curls and folds of this smaller stunner.

Artist Bio

Lyn Brown's Profile,

From a young age, Lyn has had a love for gardens and flowers.
The beauty of a stamen, like jewels nestling in velvety petals, the changing hues
across a leaf with color that soothes, the unfolding promise of a bud, is what inspires her to paint.

Wandering through her beautiful formal garden gives Lyn a feeling of respect for creation.
She is in awe of its beauty.
Living in the rural countryside of NSW and travelling extensively,
gives her a constant kaleidoscope of stunning reference to choose from.

Lyn’s floral subject matter enlarged and vibrant on the wall, recreates this inspiration in a way that is luxe and dynamic.
Her clients tell her that her artwork can light up a room. Bringing the outdoors in, is one of the effects
of hanging her amazing art on your wall.
Like the intoxicating perfume flowing from these exotic beauties, it is Lyn’s pleasure to share and spread the inspiration
of nature with others through her paintings.

She also loves to work with those who wish to have their own floral reference recreated onto canvas.
