"Fail Whale Fail' Ed. 17 of 18 Ed. 17 of 18

Created in response to being asked to make an artwork interpreting 'suspension' (loosely!). I came up with this play on words and trends. 'Fail Whale Fail' has more to its title that explains my suspended whale and non flying birds further. The rest is "your technical support has been suspended" and this is in direct response to Twitter and its use of the 'Fail Whale'. I took the 'fail' further and made it a bit of a dig at large social media platforms that used to crash when everyone took to them in droves. Quite entertaining really. The style of work is representational but in my own way, and I hope with a little humour thrown in.
The work is sold professionally framed & matted, with a soft flecked green based brown frame that works with the colours in the artwork (so the size below is the frame not the work). This hand pulled print is exactly 13.6 x 11.5 cm without signature and title.

Lyndsey is an Australian (NZ born) contemporary, eclectic artist creating unique paintings, prints and sculptures inspired by nature from her Sydney studio.

Taking a very varied approach to her chosen subjects Lyndsey is somewhat of a chameleon, never staying within one genre or style. Lyndsey chooses her colour palettes with care, aiming to create tranquil, calm even meditative works or enhance with bright hues and bold strokes along with many other physical applications of paint, pen, pencil and more. Flitting from each discipline as inspiration hits, Lyndsey is a responsive artist.

Some career highlights have been works featured in the media from her many and varied Bald Archy portrait artworks.

Also a finalist in many art competitions such as The Hills Grammar Acquisitive Art Prize, Blacktown Art Prize, Hunters Hill Art Prize, The Bald Archy, Westmead Art Prize to name a few, and has won multiple awards in different disciplines. Her artworks are found in private and public institutions here in Australia and overseas. Lyndsey was honoured to be one of 3 artists involved in bringing "Drawing on Memory" to life for Holocaust Survivor Harry Fransman (featured on Channel 7's Weekend Sunrise).

Education includes a Diploma of Fine Art from The Sydney Gallery School, study at Julian Ashton School of Art, Waikato Polytech and many casual art workshops after being predominantly a self taught artist.
