Artwork Description

This quirky work of our most entertaining politician is from one of my many Bald Archy selected artworks. Softly roasting politicians (well this one anyway!) is fun and creative. Bob is one of those people that just keep giving you material for ever.

The original artwork sold and I needed to see him at least once more. This work would equally suit a home where there is humour (especially in the home office when you need some stress relief) or in a cafe, restaurant or public space to engage with customers or passers by. I am also listing another of my Bald Archy reporducion prints shortly and it is Gina Rinehart painted in Shepard Fairey style....great play on words with that one and they'd look great as a pigeon pair.

The numbering on the reverse of the print is my original estimation of print numbers but then life got in the way. So this is Number 1 and likely to stay that way.

“The Mad Katter”

There is a white haired bloke from Queensland
For the Aussie Party he does stand
His name is Bob Katter
He’s as mad as a hatter
And from singing he should be banned!

Artist Bio

Lyndsey is an Australian (NZ born) contemporary, eclectic artist creating unique paintings, prints and sculptures inspired by nature from her Sydney studio.

Taking a very varied approach to her chosen subjects Lyndsey is somewhat of a chameleon, never staying within one genre or style. Lyndsey chooses her colour palettes with care, aiming to create tranquil, calm even meditative works or enhance with bright hues and bold strokes along with many other physical applications of paint, pen, pencil and more. Flitting from each discipline as inspiration hits, Lyndsey is a responsive artist.

Some career highlights have been works featured in the media from her many and varied Bald Archy portrait artworks.

Also a finalist in many art competitions such as The Hills Grammar Acquisitive Art Prize, Blacktown Art Prize, Hunters Hill Art Prize, The Bald Archy, Westmead Art Prize to name a few, and has won multiple awards in different disciplines. Her artworks are found in private and public institutions here in Australia and overseas. Lyndsey was honoured to be one of 3 artists involved in bringing "Drawing on Memory" to life for Holocaust Survivor Harry Fransman (featured on Channel 7's Weekend Sunrise).

Education includes a Diploma of Fine Art from The Sydney Gallery School, study at Julian Ashton School of Art, Waikato Polytech and many casual art workshops after being predominantly a self taught artist.
