I named this piece Khwab Numa Naqoosh because this is where the Khawab Numa series began. It marks the first naqsh, the first dream a work that is deeply close to my heart.
Maliha Ali is an emerging Persian Tehzib (Islamic illumination) artist whose practice is rooted in classical Persian geometry, symmetry, and sacred ornamentation. Her work explores the spiritual harmony of traditional illumination while reinterpreting it through a contemporary artistic lens.
