This artwork comes with an external frame

From a visit to Currarong Beach nearby to Jervis Bay NSW. I always travel with my camera and work in my studio later -well the light is is fleeting and its the only way to catch the gorgeous sunsets and rises. I have taken a little risk in experimenting with taking the scene onto the frame which seemed a harsh line.

The bright while of the Flannel flower stands out against a muted background of soft texture.Stunning yellow flowers standing out in the dark background. The flower is tiny and easily overlooked.Stong white flower against the darker background with a sprinkling of gold oil paint.The silvery reflections on the water encouraged some silver paint added to the work. Silver paint is not normally in my palette. This work reminded me of the immediacy and joy of painting on site.
