This is a trademark painting- have a reputation for gum trees and in particular focusing on the branch. I visited Uluru and Kata Tjuta for a few days and walked all around. I usually travel with camera and then work back in the studio.

The bright while of the Flannel flower stands out against a muted background of soft texture.Stunning yellow flowers standing out in the dark background. The flower is tiny and easily overlooked.Stong white flower against the darker background with a sprinkling of gold oil paint.The silvery reflections on the water encouraged some silver paint added to the work. Silver paint is not normally in my palette. This work reminded me of the immediacy and joy of painting on site.
