The surrounding landscapes are filled with herds of cattle from black Angus to Belted Galloway’s, Hereford and even Speckled cows. They dot the landscape with their silhouettes against the lush green grass and make the perfect subject matter for abstract paintings.
They offer a delightful quirky shape as a four or three legged animal within a design. This series turned into eight paintings as I was enjoying the process immensely. With an array of blues and greens, pops of fleuro pink to beautiful subdued colour palettes. A series of canvas and works on paper to enjoy.
