Potted flowers and quirky birds are always a welcomed artistic subject. They come together beautifully in the initial drawing and there are endless colour palettes that one could apply. In this instance I began with my usual mid toned background, however, as I continued I discovered the mid toned palette of blues and greens sufficed. With additional linear elements and a continuation of the cobalt blue and forest green across the edges, small works on canvas provide visual harmony in these still life series,
