Mixed Media on wood, ready to hang.

Angela numero due by Marijke Lambregtse is inspired by my travels for six months through Italy. We stayed in Bevagna for three months, a tiny village in Umbria and close by was the lovely very old town of Foligno where we visited this gorgeous church, more like a Roman temple. I saw these dilapidated frescos with bits and pieces left from angels on them. Absolutely beautiful! So these were the starting point for some little artworks. The faces became quite hot and warmly tinted which is how I felt in the ongoing heatwave we experienced during our stay. I used recycled teabags for texture and layering and pencil, pastel and acrylic paint. Mounted on a deep etched birch wood artist panel it either can be hung or stand up on a shelf. Sides can be painted in a suitable color too if required and block frame is also another option.
Frame in the pictures is not included.
