The whimsy series arose from the ordinary objects around the house combined with a bird, butterfly and sometimes a fruit in a playful, joyful composition. This painting was inspired by a very talkative little bird who visits in the tiny backyard and seems to be telling others where to go. The addition of lots of texture gives this painting a different degree of depth.
