Artwork Description

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.

Signed on the back.

Influenced by a 1928 police photo of a known Sydney criminal. Special glass plate photographs were taken to capture how certain known criminals dressed and presented themselves. These photos were displayed in the police station on a wall known as the "Rogues Gallery". This particular image was numbered 203A. Scratched into the glass negative were the words "This man refused to open his eyes".
