Artwork Description

A personal favourite build up over time from small palette knife additions and lines. The work departs from my usual exclusion of non linear elements. The piece is very small but packs a punch.

Artist Bio

I am a visual artist with a hidden disability. I mainly paint in oil on canvas. My works celebrate the process of painting, embracing changes, accidents, and discoveries made along the way. For as long as I can remember I have been interested in lines in artwork. This interest has distilled to a point where I am painting only in lines. Lines come in many forms‚ the brush stoke‚ the mark‚ calligraphy. I love the way the patterns of lines build up‚ they merge from fields into traces of energy. I am interested in the harmonies and the joining of form and the different scales at which the lines form pattern.
