This painting is done from memory. It was a clear day when we visited a spot in the Rocky Mountains, USA, and quite enjoying the scene when I noticed clouds coming up behind the hills. There was no warning and very soon it was over us. It is a contrast when you observe approaching clouds on a flat landscape, here you get plenty of warning as to what the weather will be like.
This is a mixed media painting on paper having been varnished for added protection. The painting comes framed.
