Artwork Description

Influenced by the beauty in solitude and art. Creating this piece emerged from the idea that you can be in any space and as soon as you limit your senses, your imagination can take you anywhere you desire. If you close your eyes and just listen, it's as if you are transported into a different world. The imaginative mind is limitless.

About the Artist: Kaye Meana
Kaye is an Adelaide Hills-based artist with Filipino background. Her art is a mix of figures, florals, nature and still life with a contemporary approach.

Kaye Meana was born in the Philippines, 1987. She moved to New Zealand to pursue a career as a Registered Nurse and it wasn’t until she moved to Australia where her artworks started to soar. She lives and works in South Australia. Her paintings varies from figurative studies, florals and portraits. She is mostly drawn to nostalgic and expressive subjects.

Although she continues to work in the nursing field, she hopes to create more art, make it as accessible to others as she possibly can and someday be able to paint full time.
