Meg is a landscape and still life artist living in Brisbane. She loves the outdoors and spends family holidays exploring country towns and beaches across Australia. Meg and her family have lived in a small town in central Queensland and this time in rural life provides much of the inspiration for her landscape paintings. Meg has always been passionate about painting and has loved being creative from a young age. She studied Art throughout high school and then pursued a career as a schoolteacher. Meg took up painting again more seriously in late 2021 and is excited to be sharing something that brings her so much joy!
Meg is a self-taught artist and alongside her love of landscapes, she paints still life arrangements of things found in everyday life, especially native flowers and fruits paired with interesting ceramics and fabrics. Meg paints with acrylic on canvas and layers colours, often painting thickly, to create dimension and texture to her pieces. Since 2022, Meg has been a feature artist at a number of galleries in Queensland and sells her art through various shops across Australia.
