American West

Original acrylic on canvas painting. Vivid color was used to create this art inspired by the beauty of the American Southwest. These colors were used to excite the eye and give a feeling of warmth from the viewing. Care of this painting requires an occasional wipe down with a damp cloth. Several coats of a protective varnish has been applied.

I am a self taught artist. I prefer to work in acrylic on canvas. My tendency is to use vivid color to create my paintings inspired by the beauty I see in the world. I want people to feel excited, happy, and optimistic when they view my art. I am semi-retired from my day job and create my art in my time off. When not creating art I am interacting with my family and my three dogs.
