Sunset over the American Desert

Original acrylic on canvas painting. Bright color was used inspired by the beauty of the American Southwest. This painting should excite the eye and provide a feeling of warmth and well being. Care of this painting requires an occasional wipe down with a damp cloth. Several coats of a protective varnish has been applied.

I am a self taught artist. I prefer to work in acrylic on canvas. My tendency is to use vivid color to create my paintings inspired by the beauty I see in the world. I want people to feel excited, happy, and optimistic when they view my art. I am semi-retired from my day job and create my art in my time off. When not creating art I am interacting with my family and my three dogs.
