GLIMPSE
Thoughts captured for this painting: 'There are moments in tuning instruments to play together, when multiple sound waves which have been oscillating out of sync, begin to align, drawing infinitesimally closer and closer, and the tension is excruciating until the very last second before SNAP - perfect alignment is achieved and your ears resonate with the unity. When the oscillation rates of sound are far apart, they don’t bother your hearing much, even when the notes are not harmonic matches. It is usually in the tension just before resolution where we find ourselves tapping out, stopping, running away, covering our ears. If we can just push through the tuning process, keep fine tuning our life, our spiritual alignment, our surrender, our empathy, then the tension will eventually resolve into the most beautiful resonance, amplified and unified. It is these moments of overlap that give us a glimpse of being vibrantly alive and reveal glimpses of how purposefully we were created to live in frequency and harmony with Creation and Creator.'

SERIES INFO
My Baroque series is influenced by my love of classical music and the depth of emotion hidden there for those who wish to seek its treasures. Baroque silk weaving and tapestry also bind their way into my colour palettes and brush strokes.
Each painting captures a series of thoughts that I ponder during my painting.
