I’m a Sydney based artist and mostly paint in oils. I will paint any subject that inspires me. I can see the beauty in things that others may not. There is so much in life and nature that can do that, and my motivation is to capture a moment in time on canvas, so I don't particularly look for a narrative in the subjects or themes I paint. Colour, light and texture grabs my attention and the nature of oil paint enables me to find these qualities when painting.

I have always had a love for copying and sketching things but it was not until I was in my 30's that I decided to pursue this love of creating art and enrolled into my local TAFE Creative Arts course to see if I could develop my skills. These classes in oil painting and drawing gave me confidence to keep painting and develop my style, although I would still consider myself as a self taught artist.

Over the past years I have painted for my own pleasure, while continuing with my working and family life. Time stands still when I’m in my studio. My passion for painting has always been there and, as I now have more time to indulge in it, I want to share my works with other lovers of creative art. I am thrilled to be recognised as a "Featured Artist" on Bluethumb and selected in their curations. This is a great platform for artists to showcase their work and for collectors to discover them.
