This piece won Honorable Mention, it was created in 1984. Marking an early exploration of form, light, and emotion thru meticulous hand rendered detail. As one of my earliest completed works, this portrait represents a foundation of my artistic journey even today as my style has evolved into more botanical and nature inspired subjects, this P stands as both a finished artwork and a reflection of artistic beginnings where technical focus and creative instinct first came together. This piece was created during my senior high school year, even though I had a rare natural God-given talent for art, I was able to create this pointillism during some time off. I had because of a an emergency surgery. Afterwards, I brought this in to show my art teacher in class. After many years, I have gone back to my roots and am creating art again. The subject creates a confrontational beauty placed in a minimalist setting it draws the eye instantly
