Laughing Kookaburra in the Marri tree by Michelle Dujmovic

My painting is of a laughing Kookaburra who visited our garden recently. They are such an iconic Australian bird and I find I always want to paint them when I see them. I love their strong features and how they perch quietly in the trees around our property. I watched this one as he perched in a nearby Marri tree and added the foliage to frame him.
Painted in high quality, Artist grade watercolours and designers gouache on textured Arches cold pressed paper 300gsm. The painting has a wide professional matt board ready to be framed to your preference. Internal window size is: 29.5cm width x 35.5cm height, with matt board total external measurements are: 43.5cm width x 50.5cm height.
The painting is great addition to a natural history collection and suits both a modern and traditional interior.
