Hi, I’m Michelle. I’m a artist and printmaker based in country Victoria. I live in the wild and windy hills of South Gippsland. My husband and I have a little farm atop a hill with views for miles. Needless to say I feel very blessed to live here.
Having worked for the Victorian State Government in land management and planning I have developed a deep appreciation for the diversity and uniqueness of Australian flora and the landscape. I went on to study graphic design and worked as a designer for many years. I have now married my previous work with printmaking and painting so it’s no surprise that the blend of Australian flora and my love for design are prevalent in my work.
I’m driven by the desire to explore the possibilities and limits of printmaking particularly linocut. I love the mystery of printmaking, not knowing what a piece will really look like until I peel it back off the block to reveal the print.
