Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
This 30x30cm piece is the little brother and predecessor to another much larger piece of mine titled 'The big bang'.
The aim? To explore a full colour spectrum via colour blocks being pulled in toward the centre of the piece. Once the outer blocks had been completed, I happily found that the central meeting point wasn't perfect, and so the blocks began to push up and rotate against one another.
This central jumble of shapes in turn reminded me of felled logs being floated down a river - hence the euphoric and slightly over-the-top title 'The logjam of eternity'!
