Original Artwork's Description

"I paint flowers so they will not die."
Frida Kahlo
Australia's national emblem the golden wattle. Out walking one morning with one of my besties and had to a take a photo of this cascade of golden colour . The composition looked like a cascade or chandelier of light shining in the morning sun. This landscape I live within is my muse and influence, just love it.
Edges are left white and this piece comes with a certificate of authenticity. A semi gloss varnish has been applied to enhance the colours and keep the piece dust free and light resistant.
Styled scene is for decor examples.

Artist Bio

Based on Coochiemudlo, a smaller island situated approximately a kilometre off the coast of Queensland, between Brisbane and North Stradbroke Island, Millie, an award winning artist, is innately influenced by the abundance of foliage and wildlife that inhabit her locality.
Unbound to a sole medium or creative methodology, her depictions align with the subject’s intrinsic elements and resonance. Millie paints in a way that depicts her thoughts and feelings of the subject, which has helped her tremendously throughout her adult life and experiences.
“There is no grief as you embrace and involve yourself deeply within the subject of your painting,” Millie states after the passing of her only son in 2003. “Painting was a lifesaving form of comfort at the time of my son’s passing, and continues to be up to the present moment.”
Millie possesses a BA in Fine Arts from Charles Sturt University and a Masters in Art Therapy from the University of Queensland.
