This artwork was painted with a acrylic pallet on a 61cm by 45.50cm stretched canvas with a depth of 1.5cm on a acrylic canvas and a protective coat of (gloss) varnish has been applied to seal the acrylic paints and ensure the work stays looking its best for a life time

Sometimes, being an artist means exploring and having fun with something that is different. Here I explored the blossoms of a eucalyptus tree in a abstract form using somewhat of a design for this . Exploring the shapes of the leaves and trees I was delighted with the intensity of all the colours I used in this composition . The abstract comes together with all the white eucalyptus trees and it’s pink and white flowers blooming with its the woody gum nuts fruits. I used light and dark blues on the leaves , browns, oranges and greens to light up the woodlands with vibrancy, adding circles and stripes and dots to make the trees stand out and display themselves as winding and elongated trees swaying in the wind . The background is sectioned with pale colours near the magpies so they became the focal point of the painting and the darker colours by the trees drawing your eye to the deeper colours of the forest trees . Balls of fluffy clouds in the background give it that softer look . Nothing nicer then a walk in the forest with the call of nature and the beautiful magpies looking on with their beautiful black shiny feathers and white beaks do stand out. This abstract tells a story and has many variations of colours and would inspire any room with its beauty and peacefulness

I am an Australian based wildlife artist with 30 years of experience.

I was born in Zimbabwe and started my art career by studying under professional artists such as wildlife artist Francis Stoki in Zimbabwe and Donald Waters in Queensland Australia . I worked for a taxidermy in Zimbabwe for two years painting wildlife on a large scale for export overseas. One of my paintings sold to the governor of Beirut and the other to the vice president of Zimbabwe at the time.

I left Zimbabwe 17 years ago and now reside in Perth Western Australia. After retiring I finally have the opportunity to paint full time in my studio , something I always wanted to do.

I enjoy painting wildlife the most coming from Africa I find nothing better then capturing the beauty of wild animals in their natural habitat. I paint in acrylics mostly but have done charcoal drawings and soft pastel drawing as well and a bit of water colour and graphic pencils. I have worked in oils before but find acrylics dry a lot faster. I paint realism mostly but of late have switched to a bit of abstract painting which is fun bringing out the stories it tells. I have also done underwater scenes where I can follow the swirls and patterns of the water creating movement and patterns which are pleasing to the eye. I paint flowers, animals, underwater scenes, abstract,realism, still life, marine life, beach life, sea scapes and birds just to name a few , so keep an eye open for something different as i intend to give you just that
