Artwork Description

"A Flush of Oriental Lilies" was inspired by my beautiful lily plant bringing me year on year the most gorgeous vibrant coloured flowers in the warm summer months. Love the process of adding Art Spectrum pigmented inks to the blank white canvas, seeing the various colours mingle with the help of a bit of water which results in creating new colours and tones with some texture. Adding the design work using Atelier Interactive Acrylics, can only be applied once the base coat has dried. Pure imagination inspired by Mother Nature. These pink blooms and creamy pink unopened buds with their green leaves really standout against the blues and turquoise colours in the background.
This is for lovers of pink / cerise vibrant colours and would be a wonderful statement piece on any blank wall.
Original painting created in October 2017. Signed on the front. Ready to hang.
Mixed media using Art Spectrum Inks and Atelier Interactive acrylics on gallery wrapped stretched canvas.
Styled scene, hanging and in situ setting is for display purposes only and is not to scale. Just to give you an idea of how this vibrant floral artwork may look on your wall.
Finished with Satin spray varnish for protection.
Signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.
Please note: Colours may display differently between devices.

Artist Bio

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
