Artwork Description

Every year I look forward to the cool Autumn season, especially after warm humid summers. There's a wonderfully colourful beauty to behold when the foliage of deciduous trees change their colours even before they fall to create a vibrant carpet on the forest floor or road. From greens to an array of warm tones from yellow to brown to reds. Just wonderful Nature at work, giving us a sense of well being.
A still life of a clear glass vase with a vibrant array of colourful leaves against an abstract bokeh effect background is "Autumn Leaves"., adding a splash of colour in any room.

Artist Bio

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
