Artwork Description

"Birds in the Outback" was inspired by our trip through the Australian Outback, travelling along the Birdsville Track in early Spring. We'd decided to stopover at the Mungerannie Hotel about halfway between Birdsville and Marree. Always inspired by nature, it was a lovely surprise to see so many waterbirds flock to this waterhole, tending to forget all about those pesky little flies which accompanied us in abundance.
Original painting created in September 2014. Signed on the front. Professionally framed in a champagne gold frame. Ready to hang.
Artist quality Atelier Interactive Acrylics on gallery wrapped stretched canvas.
Styled scene, hanging and in situ setting with mat and frame is for display purposes only and is not to scale. Just to give you an idea of how this Outback landscape may look on your wall.
Artwork size is: w50cm x h40cm x d2cm
Finished with satin spray varnish for protection.
Signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.

Artist Bio

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
