"Blue Mountains Panorama: Boars Head and Narrowneck Plateau" is a decent size artwork, totally inspired by my love of all things natural and by one of our last visits to the Blue Mountains National Park. We decided to leave home to spend a couple of hours in the vicinity of Blackheath and Katoomba, ensuring that not many people were around. I didn't know what to expect to see in regards to the damage done by last summers horrific bushfire season. We decided to visit the most western lookouts along Cliff Drive, the Boars Head and Cahill lookouts. Both overlook the Megalong Valley and the Jamison Valley in the distance, with a glimpse of Mount Solitary and Ruined Castle too. We could see that the Narrow Neck Plateau and it's western flank had copped some damage, but I was glad to see that with some past rains, our native flora is slowly bouncing back.
Another painting without a sketch beforehand, very pleased with seeing how this beauty started to come together. This is for all lovers of the Natural World and in particular the beauty of the Blue Mountains National Park. This painting of natural rugged beauty would greatly enhance a blank wall or a relaxing cosy corner.
