Artwork Description

Part of my Australian Landscapes series.
I was inspired by the scenery of the Breenhold Gardens residence being lit up in autumn sunshine, when we visited Mt Wilson and the Gardens Open Day a couple of years ago. Breenhold Gardens was the first one we visited, the morning was typically autumnal with the crispy mountain air and glaring sunlight.
A dreamy soft depiction of this seemingly pure white bungalow.
Original painting created in August 2017. Signed on the front.
Artist quality Daniel Smith Watercolours on 100% archival cotton rag. Requires mat and frame.

Artist Bio

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
