Artwork Description

"Coastal Vibes" is the surprising result of yet another one of my experiments working with fluid acrylics. Just my imagination working a treat. Love the resulting colour nuances in the artwork. Apart from using some of my favourite colours, I added these one by one into various sized tubs and flipped them over onto the canvas, let them settle for a bit and then slowly lift each tub, letting the colours flow. Reminding me very much of the living ecosystems of coral reefs.
This piece would certainly add a cheerful tone to any nook and cranny.
Would look fabulous in a frame.

Artist Bio

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
