Artwork Description

"Cocora Beach in Eden" is a lovely hidden gem of a beach on the shores of Twofold Bay, which we only came across by chance during our visit to the Sapphire Coast in the summer of 2015. It was a lovely drive around the different and somewhat exciting scenery of this beautiful coastal town of Eden, when we chanced upon this road which led right down to this secluded and rocky beach. I fell in love with the rugged coastal foreshore with it's rock formations and trees and a lovely misty morning in the far distance. A wonderful haven for families with children as the water is quite shallow and there's a playground as well. Although it took some time, this is my 2nd attempt at this beautiful scene.
Original painting created in December 2020. Signed on the front. Requires mat and frame for protection.
Artist quality Daniel Smith watercolours on 100% archival cotton rag, Arches brand.
Styled scene, hanging and in situ setting with or without mat and frame is for display purposes only and is not to scale. Just to give you an idea of how this beach scene may look on your wall.
Signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.

Artist Bio

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
