Daly Waters Pub in Spring

"Daly Waters Pub in Spring" is my take on a memory of our trip through the Australian Outback in 2009. We were on our way up North along the Sturt Highway in the N.T. when we came across the turn off for Daly Waters. It was time for a break anyway so we thought we'd take a look at this awesome Pub in the Outback. A must see destination, with it's hearty meals, drinks and the of course the interesting bits and pieces left by the travelling public hanging along the walls as a keepsake. I remember my first impression what a showstopper their Bougainvillea shrub made near the entrance to the Pub.

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
