Artwork Description

My most recent floral art painting "Forever Yellow Lilies" inspired by yellow lilies coming back every Spring, even though I haven't particularly nurtured them. This is my 2nd attempt, the first one ended up in the bin... parts of the canvas just wasn't taking up the acrylic paint.
These beautiful Lilies just add some cheer, especially after a long cold winter. A wonderful sign of warmer months ahead. Background is a mix of purple and blue in stark contrast to the yellow and red gold petals of the lilies. Sides painted in black, which seemingly makes the colours pop, whilst looking framed.
Original painting created in May 2021. Signed on the front.
Artist quality Acrylics on gallery wrapped stretched canvas. Ready to hang.
Styled scene, hanging in situ setting is for display purposes only and is not to scale. Just to give you an idea of how this artwork may look in your home.
Finished with satin varnish for protection.
Signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.
PLEASE NOTE: Colours can differ slightly from monitor screens, mobile devices and tablets.

Artist Bio

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
