Artwork Description

"Surfs Up!" is another framed miniature inspired by a visit to our beautiful ocean beaches. I don't know how many times I've just made myself comfortable on the sandy beaches and been mesmerised just by watching the waves as they came to shore. Sometimes soft and gentle and at other times one could sense the powerful force of the water as they came crashing onto the shore with their frothy white crests. This artwork would add a lovely addition to any coastal home.
Original artwork created in November 2019. Signed on the front. Ready to hang.
Artist quality Acrylics on Canvas panel. Presented in a black frame with white double mat.
Styled scene, signature, hanging and in situ setting with or without mat and frame is for display purposes only and is not to scale. Just to give you an idea of how this delightful artwork may look on your wall.
Actual artwork size: w9.1cm x h9.1cm.
Signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.
Finished with satin varnish.

Artist Bio

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
