"Purple is the Colour of Spring" is contemporary artwork wanting to draw people in to take a walk down this avenue lined with Jacaranda trees covered in purple blossoms amidst their intertwining branches. With Spring just around the corner, it's in November where one can see these gorgeous clouds of blue / purple petals, scattered throughout suburbia. One could be forgiven for thinking the Jacaranda tree is a native of Australia but it actually originates in South America.
My artwork depicts a pathway lined by Jacaranda trees on both sides. The trees have intricate branches that intertwine creating an elegant canopy adorned with green leaves and purple petals. The path is covered with fallen purple petals, enhancing the ethereal feel of this scene. Light filters through the branches, casting subtle shadows. The path seems to lead one to an area of open space bathed in sunlight. It's always a joy to behold when these massive Jacaranda trees come to life with their beautiful vistas in blue / purple hues in spring.
