Artwork Description

"Riverina Bushwalk no 2" is the 2nd project I undertook, being inspired by our road trip around the Riverina region of NSW many years ago. I have to admit that I fell in love with the natural beauty of this region. I found inspiration everywhere, especially on our walk along this track to get to the Murrumbidgee River. Just love walking past these magnificent River Red Gums, scattered around the landscape, but just wait till one gets to the river. Riverside gums galore.
It has a lovely fresh feel to it with warm swathes of apricot and yellow clouds, areas of shadows in contrast to the cheerful light areas with the foreground dotted with colourful blooms.
Original painting created in September 2022. Signed on the front.
Artist quality Acrylics on Baohong Masters Choice 100% archival cotton rag 300gsm. Requires mat and frame for protection.
Styled scene, hanging and in situ setting with or without mat and frame are for display purposes and are not to scale. Just to give you an idea of how this colourful landscape artwork may look on your wall.
Finished with satin varnish for protection.
Signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.

Artist Bio

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
