Artwork Description

"Riverina Morning" is yet another watercolour painting inspired by our trip down South. We were enjoying a lovely drive in the great outdoors when we came across this lovely wide countryside, with the road winding through the Riverina region around Brungle, NSW. With the sun just starting to come through, casting shadows on the slope ahead of us. There is nothing better to soothe the soul, enjoying a road trip, getting away from the hectic of daily life, taking in the beauty and fresh air mother Nature has to offer.
Original painting created in November 2023. Signed on the front.
Artist quality Daniel Smith watercolours on Baohong Masters Choice watercolour paper. Requires mat and frame for protection.
Styled scene, signature, hanging and in situ setting with or without mat and frame are for display purposes only and is not to scale. Just to give you an idea of how this serene landscape may look on your wall.
Signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.
PLEASE NOTE: Colours can differ slightly from monitor screens, mobile devices and tablets.

Artist Bio

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
