Artwork Description

"Strelitzia Flowers in Bloom" was inspired by our beautiful natural world and one can't really go past the striking tropical blooms of the Bird of Paradise plants. Vibrant yellows, orange, red and purples in amongst the lush green foliage of their large leaves. Beautiful striking colours reminding me of our tropical north. This is another lovely bright painting created on the smooth surface of Yupo paper, giving it a soft glow. This floral artwork will enhance any wall requiring a splash of colour.
Original painting created in November 2018. Signed on the front. Requires mat and frame for protection.
Professional artist quality Daniel Smith watercolours on Yupo paper paper. Being a very smooth synthetic paper, the vibrancy of the colours seem to glow.
Styled scene, hanging and in situ setting with or without mat and frame is for display purposes only and is not to scale. Just to give you an idea of how this colourful artwork may look on your wall.

Artist Bio

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
