"Studebaker Rockne: An Abandoned Oldtimer in Hill End" is part of my Australian Landscapes series. Driving around regional areas one tends to see forgotten gems like this one. We came across this rare automobile whilst wandering around the Historical Hill End Site. It looked quite forlorn and forgotten behind some backyards with their iconic delapidated fences and rusty roofs.
Original painting created in January 2016. Signed on the front.
Artist quality Winsor and Newton professional watercolours on 100% archival cotton rag. Arches brand. Presented in a white double mat with foam core backing. All it requires now is a frame of your choice for hanging and protection.

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
