Artwork Description

For a long time now, I've wanted again to move towards more loose and abstract work, a huge difference to my beloved representational work. So, I'm sorry to say, but when another war started in this beautiful world of ours, I was hungering for some colourful and abstract work.
My 4th in a series of 4, is my "Summer Vibes" which is another vibrant work showing my take on summer, in colours and textures and bold shapes. All organically created, making marks with gel inks and brushes, textures of light yellow flower shapes with a small palette knife.
Original painting created in October 2023. Signed on the front. Requires mat and frame for protection.
Artist quality Acrylics and Gel Ink on Baohong Masters Choice 100% archival cotton rag 300gsm.
Styled scene, hanging and in situ setting is for display purposes only and is not to scale. Just to give you an idea of how this colourful artwork may look on your wall.
Finished with satin spray varnish for protection.
Signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.

Artist Bio

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
