Artwork Description

Another iconic Australian vista finally added to my portfolio, having started with this project late last year. This is my take on the magnificent limestone stacks of which only eight are still standing, along the Great Ocean Road, part of the Port Campbell National Park in Victoria. A cloudy sky in vivid colours as the sun sets over this seascape, creating pastel coloured reflections as the waves crash and burn around the Apostles and heading into shore. Meet "The Twelve Apostles at Sunset" an iconic Australian tourist destination.
Original painting finally finished in June 2023. Signed on the front. Ready to hang.
Artist quality Acrylics on Professional artists gallery wrapped stretched canvas.
Styled scene, hanging and in situ is for display purposes only and is not to scale. Just to give you an idea of how this colourful seascape may look on your wall.
Would look great in a coastal holiday unit or home or just a corner in your home to relax, letting your memories flood back.
Signed Certificate of Authenticity is included.
Finished with satin spray varnish for protection.
Inspired by the vivid coloured sky when I saw the the reference photo kindly supplied by Robyn (Ro) Lovelock

Artist Bio

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
