Artwork Description

"Waterlilies" is a flower painting of a lovely serene pond with scattered vibrant pink and white waterlily flowers, surrounded by their large green lily pads. The sky above visible through an opening in the foliage adds tranquillity to the scene. The water of the pond is depicted in deep blue tones reflecting the sky and surrounding foliage. Using visible brushstrokes I've added texture and depth to this painting, bringing out details of ripples and veins in the lily pads. It's yet another contemporary artwork in my floral collection, inspired by "Claude Monet".
Styled scene, hanging and in situ settings are for display purposes only and not to scale. Just to give you an idea of how this serene floral pond scene may look on your wall.

Artist Bio

Monika Scheffler is a Sydney based visual artist who specialises in acrylic and watercolour paintings. She was hooked for life in 2012, when she started participating in various courses to this day, either online, in classrooms and workshops.
Monika draws inspiration from nature and captures its beauty in her realistic to impressionistic style. Her artworks can feature delicate details, expressive brushstrokes and vibrant colours. Her goal is to bring joy and peace to the viewer through her natural landscapes and floral art.
Monika has exhibited her paintings in several group art shows, online platforms as well as a gallery in collaboration with another artist and has won several awards along the way, receiving positive feedback from critics and collectors alike. Some of her notable works include “Blue Mountains – Three Sisters”, “Govetts Leap Blue Mountains”, “Flower Power”, “Manly Ferry Ride at Sunset” and “Autumn Sunshine”.
For this year, in response to the world around us, Monika has set her sights to creating more impressionistic floral artworks, incorporating her love of colours as well as honing her skills with soft pastels after having participated in a workshop in recent times amidst finalising projects she began last year.
