Back in 2012, after participating in various online classes learning to paint landscapes in oils the year before, as well as teaching myself to work with acrylics and mixed media, I decided I wanted to become an all-round artist in various mediums, and so I joined the Nepean Art Society and enrolled in a weekly watercolour class. It was soon after that our tutor began praising the city on water "Venice". Seeing as this coincided with me reading crime novels set within Venice by Donna Leon, I became fascinated with this amazing city. I fell in love with her and endeavour to depict her in a more favourable light with stronger tones of colour, especially when I'm using the acrylic medium.
Currently, I am using images supplied by the generosity of photographers from various online websites as well as photos from friends.
I hope to one day be able to visit this amazing and intriguing city on water.
