My artwork is around the idea of fragmentation. Converting the world into smaller shapes and building it back into something . I mainly use glass to create my mosaic art.
Inspiration is a spark that finds me, usually in the wonderment of everything around me. A leaf, a cloud, the human form are converted into a range of shapes and a series of movements.
I enjoy lots of colour, bright, happy, cheerful colours.
I tend to work on a series of ideas concurrently. I need time to think, do, undo until it sits happily in my mind. I find this process pure joy, frustration and at times utterly disappointing. It’s a typical love/hate relationship.
