Flannel Flowers have to be one of the most stunning, perennial native flowers of Australia with their delicate white petals and long woolly stems. Theyâre found growing in full sun in rocky gardens around Sydney. Theyâre known as the âFederation Starâ and they are also the centenary flower of NSW.
As it almost impossible to find cut flowers, I researched many images to compose my interpretation of a âField of Flannel Flowersâ.
I can image this (lightweight) painting framed in a floating white frame.
