Thinking Head

Thinking Head is an abstract composition structured through layered blocks of Prussian blue, ultramarine, ochre, and white, applied with both sweeping brushstrokes and textured scraped passages. Rectangular planes overlap in shifting transparencies, creating a sense of depth similar to layered thoughts or memories stacking within a mind. The surface is dynamic yet contemplative: dense blue areas anchor the painting, while luminous ochre and soft white sections open space and movement. The interplay between the scraped textures and the smooth glazes gives the work a tactile, almost sculptural presence, as if the painting were slowly revealing its internal architecture. The fragmented arrangement of shapes evokes an abstract portrait, where emotion is suggested through structure rather than depiction.
